Observations
June 2026 – Gendron signed a one-year contract with the Providence Bruins for the 2026-27 season. Chris Babos
March 2026 – Gendron was acquired by the Boston Bruins (along with Massimo Rizzo) at the 2026 NHL Trade Deadline in exchange for Brett Harrison and Jackson Edward. The 22-year-old forward was clearly the prize given the fact that Rizzo was shipped to Nashville six days later. Gendron’s development stalled out in Philadelphia, particularly with the influx of talent at the wing position entering the system. He faces an uphill battle for time on the Bruins’ roster with forwards such as Matej Blumel and Fabian Lysell in front of him on the prospect depth chart. Chris Babos
March 2026 – Gendron was traded to the Boston Bruins at the 2026 NHL Trade deadline. The 22-year-old forward has reported to the Providence Bruins. Chris Babos
August 2025 – The Lehigh Valley Phantoms saw a meaningful goal-scoring impact from Gendron in 2024-25, as he scored 20 times in 63 games. Although it was technically his second AHL season, he had only played 17 games in the year prior, where he also played 16 games in the QMJHL during the regular season. It will be exciting to see if Gendron can improve his goal-scoring output for Lehigh Valley in 2025-26. If he does, dynasty fantasy managers should keep Gendron at the top of their watch list in case he can eventually bring his scoring ability to the NHL in a middle-six role. Ioan Gheordanescu
July 2023 – Gendron signed a three-year, entry-level contract ($860,000 AAV) with the Philadelphia Flyers. Their 2022 seventh-round draft pick spent the 2022-23 season in the QMJHL between Blainville-Boisbriand Armada and Gatineau Olympiques. In 63 regular-season games combined, he scored 55 goals while adding 26 assists for 81 points and led the league in power play goals with 21. Gendron will likely return to Gatineau in 2023-24 for his final season in junior. Mark Henry
July 2022 – Gendron has been selected by the Philadelphia Flyers with the 220th overall pick in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. He is set to play in the QMJHL next season for the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada. John Gove
