June 2022 – So there were good things and a few bad things to say about Lindewall’s season last year. The good is that his 26 points in 18 games were actually the second-best points-per-game rate of any player in the HockeyEttan. The bad is that two years after being drafted, Lindewall is just producing in the HockeyEttan, Sweden’s tier three pro hockey, a league that has maybe a handful of NHL prospects in it. In 37 games in the HockeyAllsvenskan last season, the Swedish forward recorded just four assists which is similar to the five points in 36 games that he recorded the season prior. At 20-years-old, the young Swede is far from a finished product but at the same time, he needs to show some progression and statistical improvement in the HockeyAllsvenskan this season. It is far too early to predict this player for the AHL level never mind the NHL. Jameson Ewasiuk
October 2020 – With the team’s final pick of the 2020 draft, Edmonton opted to select Lindewall. The Swedish winger is power forward who is effective along the boards and has a strong presence in front of the opposition’s net. He moves well around the ice and knows what he has to do to be effective. Last year the young Swede recorded a respectable 11 goals and 28 points in 39 games for MODO Hockey J20 of the J20 SuperElit. This season, he is off to a great start as he has recorded five goals and nine points in seven games on the same team and has also played in two games for MODO of the HockeyAllsvenskan. As a seventh round pick, expectations should be kept in check but if he becomes a bottom six NHLer in the future, then Edmonton should be very happy with his progression. Jameson Ewasiuk
