January 2021 – Kellman was given a partial kick at the can, splitting time between the Barracuda and the Sharks last season. His defensively responsible play and a strong training camp have earned him a bottom-six role with the Sharks to begin the 2021 season. Several other players have thrown their hats in the mix so Kellman should not expect a free ride. Expect him to bounce around the lineup a bit this season. Alex Howes
November 2019 – After leaving Sweden and inking a one year deal with the Sharks, the 25-year-old centerman is off to a nice start. His pass-first mentality currently has him leading the Barracuda in assists and points. To this point, Kellman has proven himself capable at all levels of hockey, including the highest leagues in Sweden and now the AHL. Because he is one of the veteran players on the team, it would not be surprising to see him earn a call-up at some point this season. The dynamic puck mover could learn a thing or two from a veteran passing machine like “Jumbo” Joe Thorton. At 25, it is time to see if he has got what it takes to play in the NHL. Alex Howes
