January 2024 – On January 29, Chisholm was claimed by the Minnesota Wild after being placed on waivers by the Winnipeg Jets on January 28. He has played eight games during the 2023-24 season between the AHL and NHL. In six games with the Manitoba Moose, he had five points (zero goals and five assists); in two games with the Winnipeg Jets, he had one point (zero goals and one assist). Mark Henry
November 2023 – The Winnipeg Jets recalled Chisholm on November 25 after a six-game conditioning stint in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose. While it won’t be easy to get into the Winnipeg Jets lineup with the team starting the 2023-24 season 12-5-2, Chisholm should get his chance over Nate Schmidt and Logan Stanley sooner rather than later. Mark Henry
November 2023 – The Winnipeg Jets loaned defenceman Declan Chisholm on November 12 to the Manitoba Moose for conditioning purposes. Chisholm made the Jets opening night roster but has yet to play a game in the NHL this season. Mark Henry
September 2023 – Chisholm signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 in the NHL for the 2023-24 season with the Winnipeg Jets; if he plays in the AHL this season, he would make $90,000. In 59 games with the Manitoba Moose during the 2022-23 campaign, Chisholm recorded 43 points (five goals and 38 assists) and was named an AHL All-Star for the first time in his career. Should the Jets send Chisholm to the AHL this season, he is no longer waivers exempt and would be eligible to be claimed off of waivers by one of the other 31 NHL teams. Mark Henry
May 2022 – Chisholm provided the Moose with a productive second season on the blueline amassing 30 points in 53 games. Chisholm elevated his game in the playoffs leading all Manitoba Moose players with seven points in five games. Being one of four Moose defensemen to post a half point per game pace or more, the offense is promising, highlighted by his mechanically sound skating and ability to work the offensive blueline. Chisholm has a quick pace to his game, using his heads up style to make crisp outlet passes. His elite ability to walk the offensive blue line will be valuable as a potential NHL power play contributor. His confidence has taken a definite leap forward which is evident in his decision making. Chisholm is beginning to drive results and dictate play for the Moose much like he did in junior. To compete in the NHL Chisholm needs to shore up his defensive game in front of the net and be harder on the puck in his own zone while maintaining his offensive talents. The Jets’ defensive contract term and a plethora of talented young defensemen are making it difficult for Moose players to get steady reps at the NHL level, but something has to give. Perhaps an opportunity can present itself for Chisholm to get into more than two Jets games for next season. He would make a solid third-pairing offensive defenseman with the potential to get into the top-four and contribute on the power play. Justin Kaye
April 2020 – Chisholm continued to turn heads in the OHL this season, flashing his high offensive upside on the backend. He finished with 69 points in 59 games, which was good enough for third amongst OHL defensemen in scoring. Chisholm continues to look the part of a late-round steal for the Jets. Jamie Zadow
May 2019 – Chisholm really took his game to the next level this past season, developing into a solid two-way defenseman. What sets him apart is his skating ability, changing directions with ease, handling the forecheck and making crisp outlet passes to his teammates. The Jets may have landed a “diamond in the rough” in the late rounds of their draft. Jamie Zadow
