January 2021 – The winger has been placed on IR with an undisclosed injury. He should contend for the taxi squad should he return this season. Kyle Watson
July 2020 – Miletic was one of the few players who did not make the postseason roster, despite participating in training camp. Clare McManus
April 2020- Had a decent year with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins. In 62 games, Miletic scored nine goals and added 23 assists, finishing fourth on the team in points with 32. He is now an RFA and will look for the Penguins to re-sign him come summer. Clare McManus
January 2020 – On a lower-scoring team than Wilkes/Barre-Scranton fans are used to, Miletic is second in team points from eight goals and 18 helpers in 38 outings. He’s also second in power-play goals with three. It’s a decent level of production, but likely not the breakout campaign the 22-year-old impending RFA sought. Mark Allan
September 2019 – Miletic was one of 17 players assigned to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the AHL in the second round of cuts from Pittsburgh’s training camp. Although his AHL debut was marred by an upper-body injury, the 22-year-old nevertheless had a promising 35 points in 49 games. He’s an RFA after this campaign. Mark Allan
April 2019 – Miletic must have mixed feelings about his AHL début in which he had solid totals of 12 goals, 23 assists and plus-14 in 49 games. That last number was disappointing. The former OHL junior star didn’t make it out of October before suffering an upper-body injury on a harmless-looking encounter along the boards that sidelined him week to week. When he was hurt, Miletic was second on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton with six points and tied for first with three goals. He has one more season on his entry-level deal to overcome iffy skating and prove that hot start was no fluke for the budding 6-1, 196-pound power forward. Mark Allan
February 2019 – A four-point outing, including three assists, in a recent 7-2 win over the Cleveland Monsters has helped to raise Miletic’s stats in what he been a promising if uninspiring pro debut. After 26 AHL games, which included six points in his first six games, the former OHL junior star had seven goals and 10 assists. He has one more season on his entry-level deal. Mark Allan
December 2018 – After racking up six points in his first six AHL outings, Miletic has gone pointless in the next seven games. It’s still early. Mark Allan
October 2018 – The AHL is agreeing with Miletic so far, as the rookie pro has three goals and three assists to go with a plus-four rating. He did his part with two early goals against Lehigh Valley, although the Phantoms went on to beat Wilkes-Barre/Scranton 6-3. The first six games have been extremely promising for the former OHL star. Mark Allan
September 2018 – Riding high after a 92-point junior campaign, Miletic has a fresh challenge as a rookie pro in the AHL. This will be an eye-opening education for him. He plus-1 but pointless in two NHL pre-season appearances. Mark Allan
July 2018 – Miletic stuck with the OHL post-season, totaling four goals and eight assists in 10 games for Niagara. That followed a 36-goal, 92-point, 63-game regular season split between the London Knights and the IceDogs. The sets the stage for the 21-year-old’s first pro campaign, expected to be with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. The jump from junior to the AHL is a large one, but the six-footer packs 196 pounds and might add to that before training camp. He is well-positioned for the next step in his hockey evolution. Mark Allan
April 2018 – To give its AHL affiliate some fresh blood and a youngster some pro experience, Pittsburgh assigned Miletic to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. In his final junior season, between the London Knights and Niagara IceDogs, Miletic posted 36 goals in 63 games. His 92 points were sixth-most in the league. The 20-year-old, whose three-year, entry-level NHL deal begins next season, tied for Niagara’s points lead with 12 in 10 playoff outings. Miletic gets his pro baptism in a first-round Calder Cup battle with the Charlotte Checkers. Pittsburgh brass will be watching. Mark Allan
February 2018 – Pittsburgh GM Jim Rutherford’s timing was good when he signed a three-year, entry-level deal with Miletic, who had 69 points in 100 games over two OHL seasons with London after one uninspiring USHL campaign. Building from a team-high 37 goals in his second season with the Knights, the husky forward has exploded in his third major junior schedule with 16 goals and 54 points in 35 games before a trade to Niagara. His assists and plus-minus declined in his first 12 games (eight As and plus-3) away from the powerhouse Knights, but he potted 11 goals with the Ice Dogs, totaling an impressive 27 goals, 46 assists and 73 points in 47 games. Earlier, the 20-year-old got into two pre-season NHL games, opening the scoring in a win over the Blue Jackets, as well as playing in all three Prospect Challenge confrontations and participating in Pittsburgh‘s prospect development camp in July.
Besides Miletic’s character, London GM Rob Simpson spoke well of his ability to produce offense while playing a 200-foot game. Ineligible for junior after this campaign, he’ll undoubtedly be in the AHL to start his pro career in the fall. Mark Allan
