Fantasy Summary
Stevens plays a pretty light game and lacks the necessary puck skills to be on the fantasy radar. He is a capable skater with good hockey sense, but as a ’94 birthday and a long road just to get a sniff at the NHL much less become a regular, Stevens is not relevant for fantasy purposes.

June 2019 – Stevens did not get a qualifying offer from the Islanders which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Jokke Nevalainen
March 2019 – An undisclosed injury caused Stevens to miss the first four and a half months of the season, eventually starting his campaign in Bridgeport at the beginning of February. His first 14 games have not gone to plan for the 24-year-old as he has only managed four points. These point totals make his points-per-game average higher than his average last season, which are underwhelming totals for a guy trying to crack the big club. He will have to get his offensive game to a higher level to be a viable fantasy asset. Nate Duffett
November 2017 – Signed as undrafted free agent in March 2017 by the Islanders, John Stevens is embarking on his first full pro season with Bridgeport (AHL). The four-year-man and former captain at Northeastern is playing lower line minutes and seeing some penalty kill time with the Sound Tigers to start. The son of Los Angeles Kings coach John Stevens; John Jr. has a goal and six points in his first 18 career AHL games. Michael Farkas
