On this episode of Game Tape, Tony is joined by HC Nove Zamky defenseman Brandt Clarke. One of the top prospects eligible for the 2021 NHL Draft, Clarke took his talents to Slovakia with the OHL start delayed. He has been playing against men and developing his skills and strength this season. It hasn’t been without its ups and downs but the young Canadian defender has seemingly found his footing recently, showing more and more of the upside that has him in contention for first overall.
Tony and Brandt talk about the transition to Slovakia and how it was as much about his teammates learning about his game as it was about him finding his role in the Slovak men’s league. They also discuss what his philosophy is with the puck on his stick, how he has grown defensively, and what his strengths and weaknesses are among so much more.
