Observations:

June 2017 – Noesen logged a career-high 44 NHL contests, 32 with the Devils, totaling eight goals and two assists. Most frequently lining up with Pavel Zacha and Jacob Josephson, he squeezed decent production out of his 11:08 average ice time, impressively finishing with a plus-4 on a New Jersey squad sporting an Eastern Conference-worst minus-61 goal differential. A restricted free agent, if extended he should be a strong candidate for a supporting right wing role entering camp. Kevin Wickersham

February 2017 – Bouncing between Anaheim and their affiliates in San Diego and Norfolk the last three seasons, Noesen was waived in late January after 12 games with the Ducks and subsequently claimed by the Devils. In ten games since with New Jersey he has registered two goals and two assists, most frequently lining up with Pavel Zacha and Jacob Josefson. His AHL point production rate increased early this season, totaling six goals and nine assists in 22 games, for a 0.68 PPG average this campaign vs. 0.49 PPG in 2015-16. Not seeing much NHL ice time, averaging just over nine minutes per game. Kevin Wickersham

May 2016 – Noesen finally had a break out season, his third as a pro, playing in 65 games, scoring 10 goals and adding 22 assists. Noesen also displayed his ability to come in clutch by scoring three GWGs during the regular season and scoring seven points in nine playoff games. His first two years in the Anaheim organization were hindered by injuries, but the 23-year-old displayed glimpses of why he was selected 21st overall in the 2011 draft. If Noesen can stay healthy, expect him to take a big leap as he is starting to get his legs under him again and adapting to the pro game. Lucas Main
