Observations:

Nov 2015 – Collberg has three points in six games for the Sound Tigers as he has been dealing with injuries to start the season and at the end of October, so he has played sparingly to start the year. His last four games in November he has two points and nine shots to show he is getting more comfortable in North America. It is a small sample size but he is at least showing more consistency to his game and at 21 there is still a chance for him to soon get in to the NHL. Pat Quinn

April 2015 – Collberg struggled mightily to adjust to North American ice this season with 16 points in 41 games, four of which were goals. As a player that shoots a lot, he only registered 56 shots for the entire year that is just 1.37 per game. He was sent down to the ECHL for six games, where he put up seven points, and should look to rebound next season. He is too skilled to struggle as much as he did this year. Monitor him closely next season. Pat Quinn

September 2014 – Collberg is fully healed from his shoulder injury and is looking forward to starting his North American hockey career. He has shown positive signs when playing against players his own age but has struggled to take the next step. He should play an important role in Bridgeport this season. Brad Wilson

May 2014 – Collberg finished 2013-14 with nine points in 40 games for Frolunda of the Swedish League. He will likely join the Bridgeport Sound Tigers in the AHL for the coming season. So far Collberg has only played two games on North American ice so it will be a transition year for the youngster. He has done well in International play. Over the past two season's he has managed 28 points in 29 games. He hasn't been able to maintain that output when playing against men though. He has put on about ten pounds since this time last year and he will need to continue to bulk up to be successful as a professional in North America. Brad Wilson

March 2014 – Trade Deadline: Prospect Sebastian Collberg was acquired by the New York Islanders with a Conditional 2014 2nd round pick for sniper Thomas Vanek. Brendan Ross

January 2014 – Collberg represented Sweden at the Under-20 World Junior Championships in Malmo, Sweden. He had a decent showing with six points in seven games, tied for fifth on his team, as his country captured silver. Eric Daoust

May 2013 – Collberg has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Canadiens. Eric Daoust

April 2013 – Collberg will join the AHL’s Hamilton Bulldogs for the final few games of the regular season. He will not see any playoff action because the team is in last place in the Western Conference. This will be a good opportunity to see how far along he is in his development on North American soil. Eric Daoust

April 2013 – Offensively, Collberg struggled this season in the Swedish Elite League with just nine points in 35 games. He did have a good showing in the World Junior Championship with four goals and six points in six games. Without a larger sample of games in while Collberg has had a chance to excel, his realistic potential and estimated arrival time in the NHL remain a mystery. Eric Daoust

March 2012 – Sebastian Collberg is an electric skater and a mesmerizing stick-handler. The 18-year-old boasts a quick and deadly accurate wrist shot, though he has yet to consistently display his offensive skills playing in Sweden’s top league. A little undersized, Collberg will spend at least another season or two either in Sweden or in North American minor leagues, bulking up to prepare for the rigors of playing in the NHL. Eric Daoust

Fantasy Outlook: B

He’ll accumulate points in bunches but he could also be a future Lady Byng candidate. Those in leagues that reward penalty minutes might want to reconsider.
