Observations:

February 2015 – After two points in five games in the AHL, Moffie hasn’t returned to that level in over a year. Which is weird, considering the decent five-game production. He’s posted modest numbers at the ECHL level, but when the Sharks added Matt Taormina and Taylor Fedun in the summer, players like Moffie were pushed aside. He has a big hill to climb and not much time left to do it. – Dobber

April 2013- Moffie had a bit of a disappointing senior season for the Michigan Wolverines. Not only was he not able to bring a national championship to the Wolverines he actually took a big step backward offensively after posting 7G-25A-32PTS-41GP in 2011/2012 he followed that up with a 13 points in 40 games campaign. Definitely not the direction Moffie wanted to see his numbers go but with the addition of the offensive stalwart Jacob Trouba it clearly impacted Lee’s offensive opportunities. Lucky for Moffie, San Jose’s  prospect cupboard is pretty thin so there is still a chance if he outworks some of his counter parts he could reach the NHL level. Not someone I will be following too close but a name I will check in on to see how he has transitioned to the pro game. Travis Watson

March 2013 – Moffie has seen a decline in his overall points this season for the Michigan Wolverines in his senior year. This is mostly due to the emergence of top tier prospect Jacob Trouba. Moffie has more of a defensive role and due to his credit is one of the only defenseman on the roster who does not own a minus-rating. Expect him to finish out his senior year and then vie for a spot with the Worcester Sharks next season. – TIm Graveline

August 2012 – Moffie is the definition of a hockey player. He plays the game with great poise which allows him to make smart decisions with ease. Hes’s a smooth skating defender and when he decides to shoot, he makes things happen.  Moffie has shown progression in his years with the Michigan Wolverines, where he routinely shows his offensive prowess from the back-end and is not afraid to jump into the play. Moffie displays some similarities to another Sharks prospect Jason Demers the way they play the game on the offensive end and both being drafted in the 7th round by the same franchise. Moffie can improve in the physical aspect of his game and continue to work on his overall play to help advance to a higher level.

Fantasy Outlook: D

Has been a disaster as a pro and desperately needs to show something – anything – to get back into the mix.
