Observations:
July, 2012 – The Panthers did not tender Roman a qualifying offer and he is an unrestricted free agent.
March 2012 – Roman is a slick, playmaking forward with a great set of mitts. The problem is he doesn’t play the corners very well and isn’t the fastest skater for the pro ranks either. He certainly has the vision and can play in his defensive zone fairly well, but seems to be looking for the highlight reel pass than shot on too many occasions. Spent several seasons between Czech Elite league and WHL before embarking on pro career in AHL and currently finds himself in the ECHL with Cincinnati.
Roman has some offensive upside but other gaps in size and lack of physical play will make him a long-shot even for a third-liner.
