Observations:
July 2012 – Riendeau was not tendered a qualifying offer by the Islanders and is an unrestricted free agent. – Dobber
March 2012 – Riendeau in the past used his great scoring ability and heavy shot to light lamps. In fact, he won the CHL scoring title in his last season playing in the QMJHL for the Drummondville Voltigeurs scoring 126 points in just 64 games played in 2008-09. Greatest asset is his shot, especially the one-timer. The downfall that is showing each year at the pro level in AHL is his weak skating, lack of size and strength. Currently you can find Riendeau’s game in the East Coast Hockey League with the Reading Royals as rights were traded at the NHL deadline from the Bruins to Islanders.
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Riendeau can snipe although has not shown any real scoring touch in the pro ranks.
