Shoots: L |
Height: 6-3 |
Weight: 213 |
Born: 1987-10-22 |
Hometown: Royal Oak, MI |
Drafted: 2006 1st round 19th overall – Anaheim Ducks |
Observations:
March 2013 – His borderline-skills are no longer good enough to keep him in the AHL when teams would rather younger, more promising prospects use those spots. This former first rounder now toils in the ECHL. – Dobber
February 2012 – Mitera is a strong, stable blue liner that isn’t afraid to throw a hit and lead the breakout. He developed at USA Hockey’s USNTDP and collegiately at Michigan (CCHA). Mitera will not “wow” with high numbers offensively, but will play a physical game. Will need to keep developing defensive aspects as this season he moved from the Ducks to the Canadians in July 2011. – Russ Bitely
Fantasy Outlook: D+
Mitera is a strong skater from the back-end though will not post much offensively.
