Fantasy Summary
Limited games played in his draft year but sneaky quick with strong offensive instincts. Needs more game time to get a decent read on his upside.

April 2023 – Johansson split the 2022-2023 between J20, Allsvenskan and the SHL as a 19-year-old. He managed just six games with TImra in the SHL where he was pointless, but he did play 27 games with IF Bjorkloven in the Allsvenskan where he had six goals and three assists. It’s unlikely that he is ready for North America at this point as he needs a full season in the SHL, which he could get next year. Grant Campbell
June 2022 – Johannsson doesn’t turn 19 until July of 2022, so is a few years out from coming to North America. The third round pick from 2021 played 33 games with Timra IK J20 and had 19 goals and 22 assists and even though he missed 13 games, he still led his team in goals. He managed 14 games with Timra IK in the SHL but went pointless. The hope is that he gets more ice time in the SHL next season, and continues to progress. Grant Campbell
July 2021 – With the 74th overall selection in the 2021 NHL draft, the Ottawa Senators selected Oliver Johansson from the Timra HK system. Johansson spent time in three different tiers of Swedish hockey this past year (J18, J20 and the HockeyAllsvenskan) yet was only able to accumulate a total of 15 games. However, he did show good offensive instincts that will hopefully help him while he continues to develop the rest of his game. Jacob Barker
