June 2019 – Jenys did not get a qualifying offer from the Kings which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

September 2017 – Big centres are always needed on any team, and with two years to keep an eye on him, time will tell if he has a future in Minnesota’s system. He spent his year with Quad City to a small level of success, but his tools are there. I’m not sure of any significant upside, but as a depth centre, he could find a role with Iowa this season. Jenys is young, but his time in the pros has been less than ideal. A sub point per game OHLer and ECHLer is not a good combination, but his frame is workable. Will Scouch

July 2016 – Pavel Jenys came into development camp with a renewed interest in his development and it’s indicated with his improved build and adept vision. Utilizing both assets to his advantage, he was better able to facilitate more promising exits out of the zone by way of smart passes and improved mobility. Edric Joseph

February 2016 – Though his recent relocation to the Niagara Ice Dogs roster was likely well-received, Jenys still struggles to offensively contribute at the major junior level. His willingness to battle the opposition for possession along the boards can make a coach or general manager salivate but he still has times when he seems content to coast. He could really go places if he can harness these weapons at his disposal with regularity, not the least of which is his impressive wristshot. Edric Joseph

October 2015- Having not made the Wild roster out of training camp, Pavel Jenys has been sent down back to his OHL club the Sudbury Wolves. The move has proven to be the right one so far as he hasn’t been able to get off to a hot start there either with a tepid five points through 11 games so far. The quality of his shot is undeniable, but he looks absent in the game at times. The latter is something to be rectified if he’s to garner more serious consideration come next season.Edric Joseph

January 2015 – Raw talents, needs to continue to apply himself with regularity to harness his considerable athletic tools. A good prospect to take the wait and see approach with given his shot and ability to dictate the play when forced to play in the corners or on the boards. The Wild ought to be pleased with the heart and vigor that he shows in his play. Jenys’ mildly abrasive, intimidating presence it will keep the opposition on their toes. Whether or not he can handle taking this style of play to the professional level remains to be seen.  Edric Joseph
