Observations:

April 2018 – After earning a gig in the top-six to start the season, Andrighetto battled multiple lower-body injuries and possibly-related inconsistency throughout the year. He finished with 22 points in 50 games and decent powerplay time, but wasnt a game-in game-out threat and could easily be replaced in the top-six should a youngster earn a look. He's still a fantasy option for 30-40 points (dont expect many peropherals outside SOG), but his spot among the top-six is not at all safe. Hayden Soboleski

October 2017 – Andrighetto picked up right where he left off last season – on MacKinnon's wing and producing at a point-per-game pace. The young shooter has landed in the perfect situation in Colorado and there's no reason to expect him to slow down, as the Avs are finding ways to score no matter how outplayed they are. Now is the time to scoop up this prospect that Montreal gave up on too soon.  Hayden Soboleski

June 2017 – Colorado has signed Andrighetto to a two-year deal following his successful run with the club post-trade-deadline. This is very promising and all-but-assures him a full-time spot in the NHL next season. Given his scoring pace last season, expecting 30-40 points is not unrasonable.  Hayden Soboleski

May 2017 – Andrighetto's time with Colorado went better than most expected. He was constantly a danger in the offensive zone, and ended up spending most of his time playing wing for MacKinnon. Thanks to this, he finsihed the year with 5 goals and 11 assists in 19 games as an Av. He's on the expansion-protection bubble, and will probably be drafted by Vegas if available. Whether it's in Colorado or elsewhere, he's a good bet to be an NHL regular in 2017-18. Hayden Soboleski

March 2016 – Angrighetto has been traded to the Colorado Avalanche in exchange for Andreas Martisen. He will help shore up the organization's lack of offensive depth at all levels, and should get a look with the Avs before becoming an RFA this summer. Hayden Soboleski

October 2016 – After a surprise demotion that required waivers, Sven Andrighetto was named AHL player of the week after finally making it to St-John's. Three goals and three assists in as many games earned him the accolade, but the NHL is where he wants to be. He's trying to prove something to Marc Bergevin after making him available to the entire league, and has already dominated at this level so don't be surprised if Andrighetto continues to have performances like this while he's in the "A". June 2016 – Andrighetto was quickly re-signed to a one-way, one-year (650k) contract extension on the 11th of the month. The slick winger began setting up linemates regularly, as evidenced by his nine points over his final 18 games. He should be a lock for the top-nine come September and may even get some chances to produce next to Alex Galchenyuk again, as the two showed good chemistry together over the past season (see video below). Mike Barrett

March 2016 – While there haven't been many positives for the Habs this season, Sven Andrighetto might just be the exception. He's quietly put together another solid year (13 points/37 games) for the Canadiens while again dominating the AHL (26 games/23 points). He is out with an upper-body injury at the moment, but strung together a three-game span with four assists prior to exiting the lineup (presumably sustained against the Senators due to a crunching open-ice hit by Dion Phaneuf). At the time he was skating on the top line next to Alex Galchenyuk (the league's leading scorer since Feb 24) and Max Pacioretty (playing his best hockey of the season). His quickness and more importantly, his natural playmaking ability make him a valued asset in an organization sorely lacking such abilities. It looks like "Ghetto" has a spot amongst the Canadiens top 12 forwards next season, and very possibly the top six. He is on the verge of full-time play, the Habs can only get better and he is not a household name yet. Andrighetto would be a major "value" target of mine this fantasy off-season.  Mike Barrett

December 2015 – Since being recalled on November 20, Andrighetto has scored four goals in nine games, already doubling last season's total (2 PIM, plus-4). He started on the second line with Tomas Plekanec, moved to the first with Galchenyuk and Pacioretty, and most recently (Dec. 10) played on the fourth line next to Brian Flynn and Charles Hudon who was making his NHL debut.  The Ice Caps and former Bulldog linemates showed immediate chemistry, and the man they call "Ghetto" potted his fourth after a nice effort by Hudon even though he played less than nine minutes. Bottom line: Ghetto he played with a lot more confidence than last year. He knows he belongs and has proven it game after game. His speed and determination to make plays stands out , and his natural ability with the puck makes him dangerous around the net. Head Coach Michel Therrien is loving his game right now and could potentially hold down a spot for the remainder of the season. Mike Barrett

December 2014 – Andrighetto has picked up where he left off in his rookie year and sits third among scorers on the Hamilton Bulldogs. His play earned him a call-up to the main roster. He has had an immediate impact as a winger on Tomas Plekanec's line and has a goal and an assist through two games. He has been involved in many scoring chances and goes to the net often. This opportunity came as a result of some line shuffling so he may not be there for long. Still, he is showing some great signs. Eric Daoust

June 2014 – Andrighetto was the brightest surprise on the Hamilton Bulldogs this year as he led all of the team's prospects with 44 points despite being a rookie. His 5'9 frame will always be a concern but if he can continue progressing at the offensive end he might have what it takes to have a strong future in the NHL. Eric Daoust

February 2014 – Andrighetto was recently involved in a trade rumor that would have involved a swap of Rene Bourque and P-A Parenteau. The Canadiens elected to keep Andrighetto and talks fell apart. This speaks to how the Canadiens feel about the AHL rookie. Eric Daoust

November 2013 – Andrighetto is off to a great start to his AHL career with six goals and 10 points in 13 games. Despite the hot start, the Canadiens turned to more experienced players such as Louis Leblanc, Gabriel Dumont, Michael Blunden and Martin St. Pierre for injury call-ups. Andrighetto will remain in the minors for the time being but is showing positive signs so far. Eric Daoust

July 2013 – Andrighetto has signed a three-year entry-level contract with the Canadiens. The Hamilton Bulldogs had a terrible roster last year so do not be surprised if Andrighetto is in the AHL for the 2013-14 season with plenty of opportunity to produce. Eric Daoust

July 2013 – Sven Andrighetto was finally selected by the Montreal Canadiens in the third round of the 2013 entry draft after being passed over the previous two years. He is a very talented offensive player both as a shooter and passer who also displays good defensive awareness. His lack of size will always be an issue but his passion and talent could be enough to push for a spot in the NHL. At 20 years of age the development time is less than most other 2013 selections. Eric Daoust

Fantasy Outlook: B

A scoring forward who is now a full-time NHLer. A middle-six spot will likely become home for this gifted playmaker.
