Fantasy Summary

Lang showed promising offense in his last junior year and while he may take some time , it’s possible he can carve out a role as a depth forward in Minnesota’s system.

June 2019 – Lang did not get a qualifying offer from the Wild which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

September 2017 – Lang spent much of the season injured, as he only managed to get into 13 games between the ECHL and AHL. He’s young, and under contract for two more seasons so Iowa can have a good look at him. He’s a project, and I’m not too familiar with him, but Minnesota will have more than enough time to make an assessment. Iowa will need an infusion of offensive talent, and if Lang can provide that, he should move up the depth chart steadily. Will Scouch

May 2016 – Chase Lang has signed his three-year entry level contract with the Minnesota Wild. He had five points in 11 games in the AHL last year and will look to build on it this fall. Patience in Lang is advised as he’ll still need time to adjust to the athleticism and physicality that comes with playing at the professional level. Edric Joseph

May 2016 – Chase Lang’s success in the WHL unfortunately hasn’t translated to the professional hockey ranks as yet. He’ll be in for a big increase in workload if he can show management why he was so effective wreaking havoc for the Calgary Hitmen the past four seasons. Though he’s unlikely he can be as dominant on the scoresheet, he’s capable of more than what he’s shown so far playing in Iowa and can make a respectable defensive presence if nothing else. That is, once he can put on some good size. EdrIc Joseph

April 2016 – After splitting time with the Vancouver Giants and Calgary Hitmen respectively, Chase Lang mustered an encouraging 63 points in 69 games. Since then, Lang has gone on to parlay theperformance into an amateur tryout with the Iowa Wild. He’d do well to make the most of the opportunity to show he can be a serviceable NHL forward in due course. A year away is tough to recover from, but it’s doable. Edric Joseph

April 2015 – After holding his own in the Traverse city prospect tournament, Chase Lang has struggled to remain a relevant standout in the Minnesota program. He doesn’t take risks out on the ice, almost to a fault. Lang is very dependable to make the correct play picking his spots well and is seldom out of place. Lang provides defensive stability to nicely counterbalance the go-getting defensemen of the world that like to think of themselves as a fourth forward on the ice. Briefly for the Calgary Hitmen, Chase Lang has been known to show flashes of finishing ability in the offensive zone but not enough to make him a person of interest from a fantasy hockey perspective. Edric Joseph
