Observations:

January 2017- The Tuscon Roadrunners captain's playing career is over after he collapsed on the ice prior to a game on November 19th, 2016, from acute cardiac arrest caused by ventricular fibrillation. Keith Duggan

June 2016- The Coyotes have resigned Craig Cunningham to a one-year, two-way contract. He did play 10 games with the big club last season, recording one assist, his role seems to be more of a leader for the AHL team now while providing depth to Arizona. After serving as the captain of Springfield last year, look for him to serve in the same capicity for the Coyotes new AHL team in Tucson for 2016-17. Keith Duggan

October 2015-  Craig Cunningham was beat out for a roster spot by some of the younger players like Jordan Martinook in Coyotes training camp, cleared waivers and was assigned to Springfield of the AHL. There he was named team captain of the young Falcons. Keith Duggan

June 2015- A day after not giving Cunningham a qualifying offer, the Coyotes signed him to a one-year, two-way contract. Keith Duggan

June 2015- The Coyotes did not tender Craig Cunningham a qualifying offer, making him a free agent on July 1st. With one goal and four points in 19 games, the move seemed a surprise as Cunningham didn't play bad in Arizona, providing a solid depth option for the Coyotes. Keith Duggan

March 2015- On the trade deadline the Boston Bruins tried to get some roster space by sending Craig Cunningham to the AHL. The plan didn't work as Arizona grabbed the forward off waivers to fill their roster after the Coyotes trade deadline sell-off. While Cunningham should get more playing time than he did with the Bruins, the Coyotes aren't strong offensively and look to struggle to score the rest of this season. Keith Duggan

February 2015 – Cunningham is the captain in Providence but has spent most of 2014/15 in Boston. Don't even think of picking him up in your pool – he's tallied just three points in his first 29 games – but he's showing the Bruins he belongs in the NHL. He's on the fourth line now but could get more ice time (and points) once he cements his roster spot on the Bruins. – Michael Boeckler

March 2012 – Cunningham was a player that originally slipped through the cracks on draft day. Although finally his offensive production in the WHL was noticed in 2010 as the Bruins selected him in the fourth round. He isn’t the biggest player sizewise, but Cunningham’s heart and passion for the game is unmatched. He holds a rapid shot, great sense, and is showing his ability to finish in the pros too, with Providence.

Fantasy Outlook: C

Cunningham possesses a quick shot and lots of poise, yet size might hinder his road as a third liner in NHL.
