July 2022 – Mismash has been traded to the Tampa Bay Lightning alongside Phil Myers in exchange for defenseman Ryan McDonagh. Curtis Rines
June 2022 – In his first professional season, Mismash played a bottom-six role for the Admirals. He scored six goals across 57 games, four coming at even strength. Although he provides that physical presence you covet in your bottom-six players, he struggled defensively this year. He had the worst even-strength GF% at 32.43% on the Admirals, which was caused by being on for 25 goals against compared to 12 goals for at 5v5. Mismash will need to clean up the defensive side of his game if he wants to earn more trust from the coaching staff and move up in the lineup. Curtis Rines
April 2021 – Mismash has signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Predators. He is coming off his best statistical NCAA year to date at North Dakota, scoring just shy of a point per game pace and surpassing his highest goal total with 10 goals through 20 games. While his production is encouraging and developed during his time in the NCAA, Mismash will bring a welcomed edgy and feisty style of play to the Predators system. His hard-nosed play coupled with above-average speed make Mismash an intriguing prospect moving forward and a worthwhile consideration in multiple category fantasy keeper leagues. Nicholas Kawka
March 2020 – Mismash has pieced together a steady season to date. He has been a strong contributor on a highly ranked North Dakota group. It has been very encouraging to see him suit up for every game and put any doubt about fully recovering from his knee injury last season behind him. Mismash’s high energy and balanced overall game has added an important dimension to the team on the wing. His style of play fits right into the Nashville system, a gritty and tenacious middle six winger. – Nicholas Kawka
November 2019 – Mismash has bounced back after returning from a knee injury. He has shown great durability thus far this season in North Dakota playing in all 17 games and he continues to play his energy style game. With 10 points and 41 shots, Mismash looks to be a reliable secondary scoring threat this season. Nicholas Kawka
July 2019 – Mismash’s season came to an end in early January after a knee-on-knee collision sidelined him for the remainder of the year. To that point, Mismash had scored 5-5-10 in 24GP, a scoring pace slightly lower than his rookie campaign in the NCAA. While point producing isn’t his calling card, Mismash will be returning for his 3rd season at North Dakota to hone his tenacious and physical style with more consistency in an effort to earn an entry-level deal. – Nicholas Kawka
May 2018 – After being selected by the Predators in the second round of the 2017 NHL entry draft, Mismash joined the UND Hawks for his freshman NCAA campaign. As a rookie, Mismash contributed 22 points, just shy of Nick Schmaltz contributions in his rookie season with the Hawks. The Edina High alumni, however plays a slightly more physical brand of hockey than Schmaltz, and will likely take a longer path to the NHL. He has the potential to be a highly valuable multi-category contributor in the future, but will need to hone his craft for a few more years before the Predators will bother offering him a contract. Brayden Olafson
