July 2021- Khisamutdinov only suited up for 15 games in his first year in North America, in which he notched just a single assist. He is likely to spend all of next season in the AHL as a bottom-six energy forward. Pablo Ruiz

April 2020 – Khisamutdinov has signed a two-year entry-level deal with the Canadiens. Pablo Ruiz

March 2020 – Khisamutdinov struggled to get ice time for Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk in the KHL where he spent most of his season. He only managed to get three points in 31 games while averaging 10:06 of ice time. He also played 14 games in the VHL where he put up 13 points. Khisamutdinov is too talented for the VHL but has yet to find his footing in the KHL. His combination of size, speed, and skill gives him the natural ability to create scoring chances and control possession in the offensive zone. Next year will be monumental to see if he can transfer these skills to become an active contributor in a KHL lineup. Pablo Ruiz
