Alexander Campbell

June 2022 – After a solid freshman year at Clarkson, Campbell followed it up with much more balanced offensive production in his sophomore season. Unlike 2020/21, where he acted primarily as a playmaker, Campbell added some goal scoring to his repertoire. In 37 games, he potted 16 goals and 33 points, which was tied for the team lead. Campbell’s upside is capped at a third-line scoring winger, and if he continues his progression into this season, he should be rewarded with an ELC sooner rather than later. Curtis Rines

April 2021 – In his first NCAA tour, Campbell had a steady showing at Clarkson. Through 22 games, he scored 17 points, good enough for third on the team. The majority of his production came as a playmaker and Campbell will look to approach his game with a more balanced attack as a sophomore. At every level, Campbell has proven he can score and he is showing early signs that the college ranks are in his wheelhouse too. Nicholas Kawka

February 2020 – Campbell has added just the scoring touch Omaha needed going into this season.  He is a pure setup man, but is not shy to shoot either and is 9th in USHL scoring. Campbell has scored in every league he has played in and is asserting himself as a productive player.  He remains a long-term project for the Predators. Nicholas Kawka

October 2019 – Now with Omaha in the USHL, Campbell has made the transition from Victoria in the BCHL.  In his first three games this season, Campbell has been off to a quick start with a goal and two assists.  As he has been known to do at every level, the scoring winger stands at continuing that pace throughout the season.  Campbell will be a big part of the Lancer offensive in 2019-20. – Nicholas Kawka

July 2019 – Campbell is a real waterbug on the ice showcasing tremendous edgework and escapability.  His size and speed allow him to be shifty and elusive with the puck and his vision makes him a great playmaker.  While slight in stature, he still has a deceptively strong release and uses it effectively off the half wall. The highlighting of speed and skill at the pro ranks favour Campbell’s skill set and he will need to continue to add strength to his frame to take the next step in his development.  He is off to Omaha in the USHL in 2019 and Clarkson in 2020. In time, Campbell could find himself as a productive puck distributor as a Top 9 winger in Nashville. – Nicholas Kawka
