Fantasy Summary
Uens is a strong skater and does not shy away from being physical. His offense has not really translated and he cannot get out of the ECHL
Observations
Read Less Read More
June 2025 – Uens has wrapped up his third season in professional hockey, this time spending it exclusively in the ECHL. He is a leader on the Savannah Ghost Pirates, earning a letter on his jersey this year, but also had his production slightly regress. At 24 years old, his NHL outlook appears low and if he does play in games after blooming late he will likely only get into a couple here and there, but first he needs to stabilize an AHL foothold. He is a solid player in his own regard, but does not seem like a future fantasy option. James Connelly
July 2024 – Zachary Uens split the 2022-23 season between the AHL and ECHL. In 2023-24, he played almost all of his season in the ECHL. The regression is not a good sign for his NHL outlook. James Connelly
October 2020 – After being passed on in last year’s draft, the 19-year-old enjoyed a strong freshman year with Merrimack College (NCAA). He put home four goals while totaling 19 points, and 68 penalty minutes over a 34-game span. He is a strong skater, and enjoys putting himself in the play. He plays a decent two-way game, however, his defensive tools continue to be a work in progress. He is still a few years stretch from making any professional splash, so for now his fantasy upside is minimal. Dave Hall
