Observations
June 2026 – Tyler Deakos had the honour of being the last player taken in the 2026 NHL entry draft by the Montreal Canadiens. At 6-1, 174 pounds, Deakos has the height but will need to work on putting on some muscle as he heads to the WHL to continue his development. With last season split between the USHL and AJHL, a full season in a single junior development league might give the Canadiens and fantasy managers alike a better picture of what he will bring to professional hockey. with 34 points in 38 games across the two leagues, there’s offense there, but the picture is currently unclear.
