Fantasy Summary
Shumakov improved his scoring in the KHL every season since entering the league in 2012-2013. He has the skill to be a top six winger but needs the opportunity to produce. Likely is more of a line complimentor than a line driver

December 2018 – Shumakov and the Capitals have decided to part ways and Shumakov is heading back to the KHL. Pat Quinn
September 2018 – After weeks of speculation Shumakov finally signed with the Capitals on a one-year deal and should be able to step in to the NHL right away. The problem for Shumakov is that the Capitals are pretty strong on the wing and may require Shumakov to spend a month or so in the AHL. That may not be in his plans and could make him go back to the KHL. Shumakov should be able to bump Connolly off of the third line, and barring injuries or an annual Wilson suspension, he should be able to play in the top six and produce. He should only be drafted in the late rounds but if he get in to the top six add him ASAP. Pat Quinn
