April 2020 – Bednard could play his way into a back-up role, in Florida, but that’s about as high as his ceiling reaches. Keith Fries
July 2018 – Bednard had yet another strong development camp. The big goalie who was drafted in the seventh round in 2015 had a strong season for the Bowling Green State University in NCAA Division I. Bednard became the team’s starting goalie in his second season there, and he had a very good season in the USHL before making the jump to college hockey. Bednard is still a few years away from the NHL but he’s been progressing very well. The Panthers don’t have that many goaltending prospects in the organization, so Bednard has a good chance to work his way through the system. Jokke Nevalainen
