July 2019 – Fantenberg has signed a one-year, one-way contract with the Canucks. Jokke Nevalainen
February 2019 – Fantenberg has been traded from Los Angeles to Calgary. Jokke Nevalainen
January 2019 – Fantenberg has held his own in the NHL after making the team out of training camp in October and kept himself in the lineup for over half of the Kings 50 games this season. Fantenberg was left out of the Kings final regular season game before the All-Star break due to a lower-body injury however, Head Coach Willie Desjardins expects him to be game ready following the break. The 27-year-old Swede is likely on every fantasy leagues waiver wire and holds little to no fantasy value due to his lack of offensive production, except in deep leagues counting hits and blocked shots; as he only has one assist in his 35 appearances this season. Julian Mongillo
October 2017 – Oscar Fantenberg has an outstanding training camp and jumped Kevin Gravel on the depth chart, earning a spot on the Kings’ roster to start the season. He will need to continue his impressive play to keep his spot, as he is waiver exempt and can be easily sent down to the minors. Jamie Barber
May 2017 – After collecting 23 points in 44 games with HK Sochi of the KHL this season, Oscar turned some heads with his steady, two-way game. Expect the 25 year old defenseman to battle for a bottom pair role with the Kings this season, but his fantasy value will be minimal. Fantenberg will need to adapt to the speed in North America and only posted an average of one hit and one block per game in the KHL this season. Stephen Butland
