Noah Steen

July 2025 – Steen is solidifying his identity as an energy forward who can shoulder defensive responsibilities and add the occasional goal from rushes and his net-front presence. It is a rather complex role to break into the NHL with, and only being deployed with fourth-line ice time in the SHL is not particularly promising. Steen’s upside seems nonexistent; there might be a fringe case for banger leagues. – Markus R

November 2024 – Drafted 199th in 2024 by the Tampa Bay Lightning, Steen is a dependable, defensive-minded forward who battles hard for the puck and isn’t afraid to be physical. He mostly racks up goals with tips and cleaning up rebounds while working in front of opposing nets. Possessing an average shot, he relies on getting close to the net and crashing his rebound. Dependable on defense, Steen was relied upon by his team to take defensive shifts. He projects as a bottom-six energy guy who can throw his body around and agitate. He has accumulated a significant amount of PIMs so far in his career. Markus R
