June 2020 – Klikorka is a smart two-way defenseman who uses his size and smart decision-making in all three zones to his advantage. He is offensively sound as he averaged over half a point per game in Chance Liga, which is Czech second-tier league. His passing is really solid for a more defense-oriented player, and he is able to create some nice chances with his puck skills. His shot is an amazing tool on its own – very heavy and very accurate. But not used as much as it should be. Defensively, he is strong without the puck as he is able to quickly read opposite players and decide what the best course of action for him is in that exact situation. He is cutting the lanes rather well and has very good defensive awareness, which was best visible during the World Junior Championship, where he played a defensive role on the first pairing and excelled. Klikorka played on four different teams this season with very similar game count. He played a prominent top pairing role on three of the teams. One of the teams was BK Mladá Boleslav under-20 team in the Czech under-20 league. He recorded three goals and five assists for total of eight points in 12 games. Two other teams were HC Slovan Usti nad Labem and HC Litomerice, both in the Czech second-tier league. Klikorka played 11 games for each club and recorded six points for each. In total, this well-rounded defenseman scored four goals and added eight assists for 12 points in 22 games. He also registered his first Czech Extraliga goal in his first Extraliga game and played total of eight games. He is expected to play full-time in the Czech Extraliga next season.  Samuel Tirpak
