June 2023 – Lind spent most of this past season playing on the second line in Red Deer. He earned 16 goals and 28 assists for 44 points in 42 games for the Rebels during the regular season, as well as  five points in 10 games for them in the playoffs, leading his line in both portions of his 2022-23 campaign, which was aided by his presence on the top power-play unit as the net-front presence.

Lind is a strong playmaker and a quick skater. This combination helps him set up possession in the offensive zone for his team, especially on the power play, and he displays an interesting level of intelligence when deciding between slowing down to gain the middle, and speeding up to cut around a defender. Add on top of that the relentless motor and his tendency to try everything to get under his opponents’ skin, and this is a package of tools that is bound to draw NHL scouts’ eyes. The concern with Lind is that his skillset doesn’t indicate that he has the tools to be anything more than a support-role player, but he has assets that are highly coveted come playoff time. Hadi Kalakeche
