Fantasy Summary
Can do it all, winger. Has a pro-sized frame, skates well, is willing to block shots and plays hard. Can contribute offensively. While his ceiling is limited as a depth forward, if he earns a regular spot in the NHL, he could provide fill-in value in deep leagues with hits, blocks and PIM.

July 2024 – On July 1, Malott signed a two-year deal worth $775,000 per season with the Los Angeles Kings. For the 2024-25 season, it’s a one-way contract that pays him $775,000, and then it will become a two-way deal in 2025-26, which will pay him $775,000 in the NHL or $425,000 in the AHL. Mark Henry
February 2024 – In 48 games during the 2023/24 season in the AHL with the Manitoba Moose, Malott is fourth in Moose scoring with 30 points (12 goals and 18 assists) and third in team PIM (56). Mark Henry
September 2023 – In 2022-23, Malott produced 44 points (23 goals and 21 assists) in 71 games while adding 82 PIM with the Manitoba Moose in the American Hockey League. He enters the this season playing the final year of his two-year two-way contract signed with the Winnipeg Jets on July 22, 2022. A strong training camp could have him considered for a fourth-line role with the Jets. Malott will become an unrestricted free agent following the 2023-24 campaign. Mark Henry
June 2022 – Malott put forth a successful second season with the Manitoba Moose as he led the team in points for the majority of the season. Often slotting in as the Moose’s first line left-winger, Malott provided reliable point production at the AHL level on both the powerplay and at even strength. A team-high 10 powerplay goals are a testament to his strong shooting ability and contributed to a steady scoring pace. Malott is an arbitration eligible RFA and needs a contract. I see him getting an extension at a potentially value price point, although time will tell. Justin Kaye
