Jasper Kuhta

September 2025- After spending most of the 2024-2025 season in the SM-Sarja of Finland- posting 18 goals and 25 assists in 43 games, which was 13th overall in the league- Kuhta has chosen to come to Canada and play in the OHL for his age 19 season. The 6-2, 194 pound winger must be determined to hear his name called in his D+1 season, as he comes across the pond to get perhaps a few more scouting teams’ eyes on him, but in the early stage of the season, he has scored twice and added an assist in his first 3 OHL games.

A big bodied forward with NHL size, Kuhta could increase his draft stock if he is able to acclimate quickly to the North American Junior game. The Ottawa 67’s weren’t a top end team last season, and are likely to repeat as such this season. This will allow Kuhta the opportunity to stake a claim to deployment, but means he will have less talent around him to support him.

He is an interesting prospect to watch, and stash in deep dynasties where one can sit on an undrafted player, but otherwise it’s too early to invest. Alex Wyatt
