July 2024 – Berger inked an AHL contract with the Hartford Wolfpack, the New York Rangers’ affiliate ending his time as a Florida Panthers prospect. James Connelly

August 2023 – After toiling for three years with the University of Connecticut, Berger found new life after transferring to Western Michigan in 2022-23. He scored 23 points in 33 games last year after scoring only 27 points over his previous 87 games as he transitioned out of the BCHL. Now 23, he will conceivably look to turn pro and report to the Checkers to maintain his NHL trajectory. Ben Gehrels

March 2020 – Berger likely returns to the University of Connecticut, next year, before joining AHL Springfield for the foreseeable future. Fantasy owners will have to wait to see how he develops but it looks promising. Keith Fries

June 2019: Selected #106 by the Florida Panthers in the 2019 NHL Draft, Berger could prove to be a valuable asset in the future. The North Vancouver native, completed his draft-plus-one season achieving 63 points (27 goals and 36 assists) in 54 games showing a drastic change in his development curve. Taking care of his own end first, Berger knew when the time was right to join the rush and made opponents pay when they weren’t set. This ability will be crucial for him to carry into collegiate hockey next season when he is playing for the University of Connecticut. Maxime Tellier
