Fantasy Summary
Large-framed, skilled scoring forward who plays with pace — much better with the puck than without. Compete level needs to improve to become a top-six forward at the NHL level.

July 2024 – Lund continued to improve and develop in his sophomore season at Northeastern University. He recorded 11 goals and 19 assists, and his 30 points were a seven-point increase from the previous season. Entering his Junior year, Lund projects to be one of Northeastern’s statistical leaders as he looks to potentially earn his entry-level deal after the 2024-25 campaign. John Gove
July 2022 – The San Jose Sharks have selected Lund with the 33rd overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. Nick Richard
May 2022 – Lund’s season with the USHL’s Green Bay Gamblers was quite respectable, as the prospect scored 25 goals and just as many assists in 62 games, finishing second behind fellow draft-eligible Ryan Greene. His production really spiked after an early-season move to the wing and after netting just two goals and an assist in his first 12 games, he registered 23 goals and 24 assists in the final 50 games of the campaign. He even played a game for the USNTDP in which he registered an assist, as well as four games at the Hlinka-Gretzky Cup in which he scored four and added an apple.
Lund’s combination of size, skill and speed is alluring. His shot is refined, his frame helps get him in dangerous areas, and he can make plays quickly when his team has the puck. Sometimes, he’ll carry himself out of the play by taking pucks from the middle towards the perimeter rather than the opposite, but when using his teammates, Lund does quite well. He displays enough craftiness to connect plays and find secondary or tertiary options as a carrier. His off-puck game and his general compete level, however, need some work. He can drift out of games for multiple shifts, and look disengaged off the puck to an extent that occasionally puts his team in trouble. All in all, Lund’s offensive tools could land him in a top-six as a power-play producer, but he plays a raw game and will require more time to become a solid fantasy option. Hadi Kalakeche
