Sept 2020 – Fortin had a promising campaign in 2019-20 that was unfortunately cut short due to injuries. He will never put up big numbers but can still be a useful NHL’er if he could find a way to be healthy. The problem is that his all-out style of play lends itself to frequently being injured. Tony Carr
November 2018 – Fortin has been a bright spot in an up and down season for the Blackhawks so far. Earning a spot coming out of training camp, Fortin gives his typical all-out effort every shift and it is clear he has worked hard to improve his skating in the offseason. Tony Carr
March 2018- Fortin isn’t exactly lighting up the scoresheet but his first professional season has been a complete loss. His solid two way play remains his ticket to the NHL, although he could make things easier on himself if he could find the scoring touch he displayed in his final year of juniors. Tony Carr
April 2017- Fortin’s season has ended in Rouyn-Noranda with the Huskies falling to Chicoutimi in seven games. Fortin continued his amazing season, netting 16 points in 13 games. Logical progression for Fortin would be the Rockford in the AHL but after his training camp this past season, it shouldn’t surprise anyone if he saw playing time in Chicago. Tony Carr
January 2017 – Fortin is quietly following up his breakout training camp effort with Chicago with a solid season for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies of the QMJHL. Averaging over a point per game, Fortin has added to his skillset by winning 67% of his faceoffs this season. Tony Carr
October 2016 – Fortin has certainly taken advantage of his invitation to the Blackhawks’ training camp. After scoring twice in the pre-season, both against Chicago’s old rival Detroit, he has suddenly appeared on many fantasy owners’ radar. Fortin has good skills in all areas, with exceptionally slick hands, a nose for the net and a willingness to go to the dirty areas. Tony Carr
