June 2025- Gordin has completed a second full season in the VHL. Historically, players who have played a great deal of time in the VHL, let alone at his age of soon-to-be-24. He is not likely at this stage to be an NHLer. Alex Wyatt
June 2024 – Alexander Gordin has not been able to yet crack the KHL in his time in Russia. It is likely his rights will be let go by the Montreal Canadiens. Aaron Itovitch
October 2020 – Gordin was one of the top goal scorers in the MHL last year with 39 goals in 59 games. So far this year he has spent most of his time in the VHL, but did manage to get into one KHL game for St. Petersburg. Pablo Ruiz.
