January 2025 – After three years at the University of Nebraska-Omaha, Mueller has seamlessly transitioned to professional hockey. In 32 games, he leads the team with 19 points. In addition, he’s done a bit of everything so far. Mueller is on the power play and penalty kill, and plays well in all three zones. He is also a strong offensive generator for Abbotsford, as he’s registered at least one shot in all but four games this season. Unfortunately, Mueller left the team’s game on January 10 with an injury and hasn’t played since. He’s listed as day-to-day, so it’s unknown exactly how long he’ll be out. Mueller likely won’t be in the NHL this year, so it’ll be important to see how he returns after injury. Nick Orr
June 2023 – Coming in as a re-entered 20-year-old, Mueller is fresh off of a sophomore year with the University of Nebraska-Omaha, where he posted 25 points (12G + 13) over 34 games. Given his 0.66 clip at the Collegiate level thus far, the Canucks felt it was worth the gamble, selecting him at 105th overall (fourth round). The Alberta native brings a touch of everything to the table, and considered to be a capable two-way forward willing to stick his neck on the line and a hint of offensive potential. For now, he is considered depth within the organization, but could provide a solid tool-kit for the club’s affiliated baby club, with hopes to work his way to a bottom-six NHL role player. Dave Hall
