Fantasy Summary
A hard-worker, Maggio nonetheless took his time to become draft-relevant and will need minor-league pro seasoning before he has any chance of cracking an NHL roster.

December 2024 – Maggio is in his second full year of professional hockey. He posted six points in his first 13 games, which is about on pace with his production from the previous season, but has since only added two points in another 12 games. His fantasy upside is minimal, and he will need significant improvement if he hopes to crack an NHL lineup one day. William Langstaff
February 2023 – Maggio has had two strong over-age seasons in the OHL. He has also taken a significant step in terms of leadership as he took on the captaincy for Windsor this season. Point production alone is often misleading, especially for over-age CHLers, but the Islanders may have just found something special with the 5th rounder. Next season, he will be playing in Bridgeport, assuming the Islanders offer him an entry-level contract. He may be a guy to watch if his scoring can translate to the pros. Graham Montgomery
July 2022 – The hard-working winger was not ranked last year by the NHL’s Central Scouting Bureau until he popped up at No. 175 on the final CSB list. After returning to Windsor and shattering his previous OHL bests with 38 goals and 85 points in 66 games, Maggio rose to 103 on the list of North American skaters. He was the lone Spitfire to make the list. He did nothing previously to excite scouts, posting just three goals and 11 assists in 45 games as an 18-year-old with the Spitfires in 2019-20. When the 2020-21 OHL schedule was canceled due to the pandemic, Maggio totaled three scores and eight helpers in 19 outings on loan to SK Lejon of the HockeyEttan, Sweden’s third-tier men’s league. A player of average height and weight, Maggio does not stand out in a crowd but works diligently and excels at protecting the puck when it’s on his stick. Mark Allan
