June 2025- Greentree dominated the OHL in the 2024-2025 season; his 49 goals, 70 assists, and 119 points in 64 games marked a 29-point increase over his performance the season prior in the same number of games.
His offense sat him third in OHL scoring, behind only draft-eligible phenom Michael Misa and fellow Windsor Spitfire Ilya Protas. To provide further context to his offensive outburst, since 2009, he ranks 23rd in points per game pace and 14th among players 18 years old or younger. He fell just short of the 50-goal mark and missed the chance to hit the milestone after being suspended for the final two games of the season due to a hit from behind. Greentree also provided 60 penalty minutes on the season and should be a sought-after target for your multi-category leagues.
Following the regular season, the Spitfires’ captain posted 14 goals and 10 assists for 24 points in 11 games. He will likely get a season with the AHL’s Ontario Reign after he concludes his OHL playing career, and could make a fantastic line-mate to the King’s Quinton Byfield for years to come. Alex Wyatt.
June 2024 – Greentree was selected 26th by the Kings. Pat Quinn
November 2023 – Greentree’s season has gone impressively well so far for the Spitfires, with 11 goals and 13 assists in 15 games to start the year. A lot of his points have come off one-touch plays off the cycle, but the occasional off-the-boards play while protecting the puck shows the potential for more, especially with his 6-foot-2, almost 200-pound frame.
A rifle shot and a knack for finding soft ice away from the puck allow Greentree to make the most out of his scoring chances. His playmaking shows up in flashes, which are hindered by his inconsistent scanning, and his skating holds him back from consistently jumping into offensive zone transitions. Still, the upside as a middle-six scoring winger with power-forward elements will likely see him go higher on draft day than we have him. Hadi Kalakeche
