March 2020 – Luoto got a cup of coffee (16 games) between November and December with the Jets before returning to the Moose where he appeared in 18 games. Unfortunately, his season was cut short in late December with an upper body injury that required surgery. Jamie Zadow
June 2019 – Luoto signed a three-year entry level deal with the Jets. The 21-year-old undrafted Finnish forward has played the past two seasons with Tappara of the Liiga and has 38 points in 139 career games with the team. The interesting connection for Luoto to this Jets team is his familiarity with both Patrik Laine and Kristian Vesalainen, having played on the international stage and in youth leagues with both players. It’s likely that Luoto will start the year in the AHL to gain some experience in the North American game. Jamie Zadow
