August 2021 – The young Red Deer captain was a low-risk, low-reward selection by the Rangers in the third-round of the 2021 NHL draft. Although relatively limited in terms of his fantasy upside, Grubbe’s reliable defensive acumen rounds out the organizations depth on the right-side. If he’s able to develop his offensive game over his remaining years of junior, he could develop into a very savvy pick for rookie general manager, Chris Drury. Until he’s proven that to a greater extent, he should be considered a relatively certain, future top-6 defenseman, but not much more.  Brayden Olafson
