Jackson Blake

April 2024 – Blake has officially signed his three-year ELC with the Carolina Hurricanes. Blake, who finishes his college career at the University of North Dakota with 38 goals and 64 assists for 102 points in 79 games played, is an exceptional player in most facets. His passing and ability with the puck on his stick is top notch and his shot has gotten more lethal as he was used as the trigger man on North Dakota’s top power play. The Hobey Baker hat trick finalist was a big reason for the Fighting Hawks success over the past two years, which has caused his pedigree to rise in keeper leagues. Blake projects as a top-nine playmaking winger with power play potential who could play full-time NHL games as soon as next year. Nick Bass

May 2023 – Blake had a successful first season in the NCAA with the University of North Dakota as he lead the team in scoring with 42 points in 39 games. The team did not have a lot of already drafted players so Blake was able to get a top role and show that he deserves it. A product of the USHL Chicago Steel system, Blake seems to be a great late selection by the Hurricanes and could make many GMs look silly in a few years for gifting Carolina another top prospect. Blake is going to need to fill out if he hopes to play in the NHL though. He is a skilled player with great hands in tight. Blake is great at scanning the play and figuring out the best route to the net or the proper teammate to set up. It will be interesting to see how his development progresses. Pat Quinn
