Fantasy Summary
A raw but skilled hulking winger who uses his physicality liberally.
Observations
November 2025 – Avramov finds himself playing Snakes and Ladders in the Russian leagues again this season- not uncommon for a young player his age. He has 16 points in 14 MHL games and a single goal in eight KHL appearances.
Given that he is going to continue to shuffle between the Pro and Junior league all season, he will be a hard read, but his performance in the MHL is as good as it was the year prior.
Avramov owners will want to see him continue the high rate of play in the MHL when he is there, grow his games played in the KHL as well as his ice time, and avoid getting mired in the VHL as this is usually a sign of declining likelihood for fantasy relevance in North America.
Avramov is not worth a hold in shallower leagues, but is worth a speculative stash and watch in leagues with deep farm rosters. Be patient, he will be a long wait to hit whatever his ceiling ends up being. Alex Wyatt
July 2025 – A surprise appearance in North America at the Carolina Hurricanes development camp, Avramov showcased his unique playstyle and hunking physical frame (6-3, 205 pounds) to fans in attendance that might have never seen him before. A smooth skater, he’s able to maneuver around defenders either with his skating or just going straight at them and going through them. He’s also an underrated shooter, with enough power to blow past goalies. He has another year on his contract with HK Sochi in the KHL, but he’s expected to have a good role with their VHL team in the upcoming season, that team being HC Rostov. Nick Bass
July 2024 – Avramov was selected 188th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes. Mark Henry
April 2024 – Avramov is a raw but skilled hulking winger who uses his physicality liberally to make the lives of MHL defenses rather unpleasant. His handling skill is the gem of his puck-skills trifecta, featuring an unlocked top hand, and it works very nicely in tandem with his physicality and puck-protection ability. He will need a few years and is far from a slam-dunk NHLer, but the raw tools are intriguing. (April rankings #93) Sebastian High
