Fantasy Summary

Speedy skater and intuitive scorer who transitioned from the wing to defense. Could stand to bulk up more and iron out his defensive game.

March 2024 – Miromanov has been dealt to the Calgary Flames, and also signed a contract extension for two years. He should be able to crack the Flames’ roster and may become fantasy relevant sooner than later. Pat Quinn

January 2024- The 2023-24 campaign has just begun for Miromanov, after a season ending injury sustained at the end of last season has blasted through to January of this year. He was recently assigned to Henderson on a long-term conditioning stint, scoring in his debut, where the pending RFA will aim to shake off the rust quickly in hopes of finding his way back to Vegas. If he can do that, then he should get a good look on the NHL club before the playoffs roll around. Taylor Davis

July 2023 – Things appear to be rounding into full form for the now 26-year-old defenseman. Miromanov continued to prove his versatility as a leading scorer with Henderson during his time in the AHL this past season, and improved his offensive output at the NHL level. Given his history at forward, Miromanov can slide into the play and get off a surprising release when he is in his element, which makes the confidence he showed this past year encouraging when projecting his fantasy relevance. The Cup Champion Golden Knights remain loaded on defense entering 2023-24, but I would expect to see Miromanov establish himself as an NHL level depth piece during the final year of his current deal. June 2022 – The Vegas Golden Knights have signed Miromanov to a 2-year, $1.525M extension with an AAV of $762,500. The Russian finished out the 2021-22 season with 40 points (11G, 29A) in 53 games for the Henderson Silver Knights of the AHL, and registered a single point (an assist) in 11 games played with the Vegas Golden Knights. Miromanov has a short way to go before he’s fully ready to crack Vegas’ roster full-time: he should definitely be on Golden Knights fan’s must-watch list going into training camp and the preseason in a few months. This extension likely signals ‘do-or-die’ time for him to prove himself further in the AHL and perhaps even another minor stint in the NHL if he’s able to impress at training camp and throughout the preseason. February 2022 – Following solid performances as a scoring winger in the QMJHL and one campaign in the ECHL, Miromanov returned to his native Russia to hone his game in the VHL and KHL as a scoring-first defenseman before signing a one-year, entry-level contract with Vegas in early 2021. While his defensive game currently has holes, there is no denying the speed and offensive skill he possesses: he currently sits second in total points (6G, 23A) on Vegas’ AHL affiliate in Henderson. He’s also earned two NHL call-ups this season, skating in seven games and registering an assist. Approaching 25 years-of-age, Miromanov will need to quickly patch up his defensive game in order to earn big-time NHL minutes, but he does have promise as a potential second-pairing blueliner and power play specialist.
