June 2019 – Audette did not get a qualifying offer from the Canadiens which means he becomes an unrestricted free agent.  Jokke Nevalainen

March 2019 – As his third AHL campaign nears its conclusion, Audette shows consistency in his output totals yet very little progress in that same regard. It is the 56-game mark and he currently has three more points than last year at this junction. He is getting top line deployment and may see some cups of coffee at the NHL level in the future. Jesse Sherman

December 2017 – While he’s not putting up QMJHL numbers, Audette has been productive in the AHL with 16 goals and 27 assists in 106 Laval/St. John’s contests, adding grit with 68 PIM. Still in the middle of his 21st year, the diminutive and scrappy Audette should continue to develop his defense and already very good distribution skills during this second full year in the AHL. Don’t be surprised if he gets an NHL cup of coffee if Montreal is shorthanded at some point this year. Kevin Wickersham

May 2015 – Audette is a skilled, quick-skating forward with a ton of skill with the puck along with an undersized frame. In particular, his 99 assists over the last two years playing for Sherbrooke of the QMJHL show that he has immense playmaking ability. He has improved his points-per-game output in each year since arriving in Sherbrooke which is a good sign. With that said Audette’s future hinges on his ability to overcome his lack of size in the professional ranks while also improving his strength and defensive play. He will not get that opportunity for another year after wrapping up his junior career in 2015-16. The risk factor combined with several years of development ahead hurts Audette’s stock as a prospect. Eric Daoust
