Nadeau is a versatile center who lacks high-end tools but makes up for it with a refined offensive mind.

January 2025 – A largely disappointing World Juniors for Team Canada, Nadeau was one of the lone bright spots on the squad. With two goals in five games, he was the leading goalscorer, which is interesting, seeing as his role on the power play was not something he was used to. Nadeau’s two points in five games were tied for second in scoring on the team. He was sometimes called upon to kill penalties, which he saw mixed results. Since rejoining the Chicago Wolves, Nadeau has kept up his outstanding start with three goals and an assist for four points in seven games. He is one of only two U20 players in the AHL with at least ten goals and at least 20 points, alongside St. Louis Blues prospect Dalibor Dvorsky. Nadeau’s two-way game has seen a massive jump, being a consistent penalty killer for the Wolves and being able to be used in high-leverage situations, such as six on five. If Nadeau continues this positive development, it’s hard to see him not sticking around at the NHL level within the next calendar year. Nick Bass

April 2024 – Bradly Nadeau has officially signed his entry-level contract with the Carolina Hurricanes. Nadeau, who ends his college career with 19 goals and 27 assists for 46 points in 37 games, made the most of his freshman season at the University of Maine. His shot immediately translated, and the playmaking ability in his arsenal blossomed, with his passing being the most prominent factor standing out. His potential remains excellent because he doesn’t turn 19 for another month. Nadeau projects as a top-six sniper at the NHL level, where he could play in games as soon as next season. Nick Bass

March 2024 – What a weekend it was for Nadeau, ending the two-game sweep with a goal in the first game and a primary assist in the second game. Going into the game, I knew the shot was already good, but seeing it in person was a new experience. The speed at which the puck explodes off his stick is something that I haven’t seen on a college player in a while, and his playmaking was a lot more advanced than I had previously thought. His passing ability led to his brother, Josh Nadeau, having a wide-open goal, and his shot was lethal enough to fly past the goalie in the first game. Weirdly enough, both goals were the same, just on different nights. After the second game, thanks mainly to Bradly’s dad and his advisor, Phil Reid, I got to ask Bradly about his transition from the BCHL to the college game. Bradly said that the most significant factor was getting to Maine early to get summer workouts, which I can tell has paid off. Nadeau is still about a year away from seeing NHL action, but his freshman season growth is encouraging. Nick Bass

November 2023 – Most of the time, it’s a tough transition from youth league to the NCAA. The game is faster and more physical, but Bradly Nadeau has made a surprisingly quick adjustment to his game, which you can see when he plays for the University of Maine. His 8 points in 6 games lead the Black Bears, while his five goals tied him for 5th in the entire NCAA and the lead on his team. Nadeau’s shot has helped him get to the top of the Maine lineup, and he continues to get better, improving his NHL outlook by the game. Nadeau is still at least 2 years away, but his scoring this early into his first year is an excellent sign for his future. Nick Bass

June 2023 – Nadeau has been selected 30th overall by the Carolina Hurricanes in the 2023 NHL Draft. Curtis Rines

January 2023 – Nadeau is a well-rounded center playing on a dominant Penticton Vees team. His greatest strength is his offensive awareness, he knows how to dissect BCHL defences better than any other player in the league. He supports this ability by constantly surveying the ice for teammates and opponents and lanes to exploit. He is a reasonably diverse passer, able to change angles to access different lanes and get pucks through defenses. His shooting mechanics, handling skills, and skating all project as about average NHL tools, which somewhat limits his ceiling. While he likely doesn’t have a top-six ceiling, he could develop into a versatile and skilled bottom-six pivot. Sebastian High
