October 2020 – McShane passed through the 2020 NHL Draft without a selection, making him a free agent. Jokke Nevalainen
June 2020 – McShane didn’t get signed by the June first deadline. He re-enters the draft. Jokke Nevalainen
April 2020 – McShane had his second straight season with over a point per game this year with 67 points in 62 games. These numbers are less impressive considering Mcshane was an over-aged player and his defensive game showed some holes. The Canadiens are going to have to make a decision to sign Mcshane this summer or they will lose his rights and he will become a free agent. Pablo Ruiz
May 2019 – McShane’s third OHL campaign was mostly encouraging. He scored 34 goals and 69 points in 62 games playing for the Oshawa Generals. His goal total is 14 more than he had the year prior. However, he just barely improved on his point-per-game output from 2017-18. He looked strong in post-season play by recording 14 points in 15 playoffs games. Depending on his development, McShane could become a solid top-six forward. However, he is likely more suited for an energy line. Keep him on your radar. Jesse Sherman
