July 2021 – Now 26, the 6-2, 209-pound forward has signed with Florida for one year. He will return to the NHL after posting 63 points in his last 106 KHL games. The Panthers are deep, but they do need size so he’ll have a shot, albeit a long one. – Dobber
April 2020 – Having spent the entire season in the KHL, it’s highly unlikely Mamin pushes for a roster spot, in Florida. Fantasy owners might want to look elsewhere for roster depth. Keith Fries
November 2018 – Mamin has been loaned to CSKA Moscow team in the KHL where he will play the remaining of the season. Mamin only played seven NHL games this season because the Panthers had way too much depth at forward, and apparently Mamin wanted to return to Russia instead of playing in the AHL. Mamin becomes a restricted free agent after the season which means he’s able to stay in Russia if he wants to. Jokke Nevalainen
June 2018 – Mamin started his first North American season in the AHL where he scored 25 points in 32 games. The Panthers were so impressed that they promoted him to the NHL roster where he added four points in 26 games. His minutes were very limited at the NHL level which explains the low points total. The 23-year-old winger has a realistic chance to start the 2018-2019 season with the Panthers, and he might not go back to the AHL if he continues playing well. Mamin is a power winger who is capable of playing a bottom-six role but he also has some offensive talent which means he could play a bigger role if needed. Jokke Nevalainen
