Fantasy Summary
Like many small, offensively talented players, Burke is a sink or swim at the next level. He could be the next Johnny Gaudreau or fizzle off like many similar players.

June 2022 – Burke arrived in a mid-season deal with LA and has been just under a point-per-game player for the Admirals. In 24 games (regular season + playoffs), Burke scored five goals and 20 points. His upside remains limited as he has not been given a chance at the NHL level yet. The 25-year-old winger is now a pending Group 6 unrestricted free agent. Curtis Rines
March 2022 – Burke has been traded to the Nashville Predators for Frederic Allard. At least in Nashville he has a better shot at carving out a role as a bottom-six player in the NHL. Pat Quinn
July 2021- Burke has been traded to the Los Angeles Kings along with Tyler Steenbergen for defenseman Cole Hults and forward Boko Imama. In three full seasons with Tucson, Burke posted 99 points (35-64-99) in 146 games. After enduring a rough offensive year, a fresh start might be good for Burke. Keith Duggan
July 2021- Coming into 2020-21, Burke was considered one of the Coyotes top prospects. He just finished eighth in AHL scoring and looked ready to push for a full-time spot on Arizona’s roster. Instead, he was an early cut in Coyotes camp and endured a tough offensive year with Tucson. He had just one goal and 14 points in 28 games. That was seventh on just the Tucson Roadrunner’s team. Burke is now coming off his entry-level contract. Keith Duggan
January 2021- After a big campaign last year, Burke came in as a dark horse to earn a roster spot with the Coyotes. That won’t happen at least to start this season as Burke was assigned to Tucson. Don’t rule him out earning a promotion later on though. Keith Duggan
May 2020- Burke broke through in his second year of pro, finishing eighth in AHL scoring with 21 goals and 52 points in 51 games. Along with leading Tucson in scoring, Burke was also clutch for the team, as his seven game-winning goals were tied for third in the AHL. He earned a few call-ups to Arizona but never appeared in a NHL game. Expect that to change in 2020-21, as Burke will start in the AHL but will earn a role with Arizona as the year goes along much like Conor Garland did a few years ago. Keith Duggan
December 2019- After a slow start to his pro career, Burke has been outstanding in his second year. He’s been a consistent point-per-game player for Tucson, right with Lane Pederson as the Roadrunners’ top point producer. His excellent play earned him a call-up to the big club, where Burke never suited up for Arizona before returning to tear up the AHL. When recalled though, Coyotes brass compared him to Conor Garland, a similar sized player who started off slow before coming on as he gained pro experience. Burke is currently 14th in AHL scoring with 12 goals and 26 points in 26 games. Keith Duggan
April 2019- With 20 points in his first 48 games, Burke was adjusting and learning the pro game. No one was expecting him to put up the big numbers he put up in the WHL right away but lately Burke’s offensive game has started to come around. He has 11 points in his last 15 games, becoming a key member of the Tucson Roadrunners as they make a push for the playoff’s. Keith Duggan
March 2018- The Coyotes already have one of the top point producers from the WHL and they decided to add another, signing overage winger Brayden Burke to a three-year, entry-level contract. This season Burke has helped the Moose Jaw Warriors to the best record in the WHL, staying atop the standings most of the campaign. He’s currently second in the league in points, racking up 112 points (31 goals, 81 assists) in just 59 games. Burke was the first player to break the 100-point barrier in both the WHL and CHL this season. Much like fellow WHLer and Coyote prospect Tyler Steenbergen, Burke is undersized, generously listed at 5-11 and 165 pounds and that seems the main reason he was passed by in the NHL draft twice. What he lacks in size though, Burke makes up for in hockey I.Q. and offensive talent. He might be one of the best passers in junior hockey and possesses good acceleration and skating mobility. Burke seems worth the risk with the NHL all about speed and skill now and personally it seems odd he went this long undrafted or unsigned. He does get knocked off the puck easily and his defensive zone play needs work, so Burke is a project but has plenty of skill. Keith Duggan
