Alex Bump

June 2025- The NCAA sophomore built on his offensive trajectory in 2024-2025, putting up 23 goals and 24 assists for 47 points in 42 games. That put him inside the top 25 league-wide for points per game (the 47th best mark by a 21 year old since 2009) and 11th for goals scored, though worth noting he had more games played than those ahead of him. Philadelphia has signed him to his ELC, and he saw a few games in the AHL at the end of the season. It wouldn’t be surprising to see him skating in Lehigh Valley next season. Alex Wyatt

August 2023 – On Tuesday, August 1, 2023, Bump asked for his release from the University of Vermont and will enter the transfer portal. Bump attended the Flyers’ development camp in early July and impressed the new front office with his improvement since being drafted in the 2022 NHL Entry Draft. The 19-year-old winger played for the Omaha Lancers and the Tri-City Storm in the USHL last season; he scored 39 points (14 goals and 25 assists) in 48 games and wore the “A” for the Lancers. Mark Henry

July 2022 – Bump has been selected by the Philadelphia Flyers with the 133rd overall pick in the 2022 NHL Draft. He will spend the 2022-23 season in the USHL with the Omaha Lancers before joining the University of Vermont for 2023-24. John Gove
