Parker Trottier

June 2026 — Trottier plays the kind of game that wins a coach over and keeps a fantasy manager away. He’s arguably the toughest forward on the NTDP, a relentless, in-your-face winger who finishes checks, separates opponents from the puck, and racked up 74 penalty minutes doing it. The grandson of Hall of Famer Bryan Trottier earns his points but doesn’t live on them; he put up 24 in 54 games for the U18 team, with the standout tool being an excellent shot release that produced eight goals across his 24 USHL appearances.

The puck game is otherwise plain. He supports the rush and works hard off his linemates rather than creating on his own, which fits the bottom-six energy role scouts project for him. Central Scouting landed him at 79th among North American skaters, late-third to fourth-round territory. For fantasy, that means a checking forward whose counting stats stay low, with whatever value he holds living in formats that reward hits and penalty minutes.

He’s committed to Notre Dame, a multi-year college runway that will test whether the shot can carry enough offense to lift him past a pure energy label. If it does and he becomes a bottom-six NHLer who chips in, the offensive ceiling still sits around 25 to 30 points, which is where the 3.0 upside lands. Andrew Epps
